Selected student work from Game Studio: Real Time 3D, Fall 2024. The course, offered by Carnegie Mellon University's School of Art, is a introduction to 3D modeling for real-time applications with a focus on world-building and character creation.
The assignments include the recontextualization and glitching of found assets; a series of abstract sculptures meant to introduce basic modeling techniques through themes like angular vs organic or curves and layers; an object or installation starting from an assigned photorealistic material; an archeological artifact from another world or dimension; an avatar to be animated with motion capture data.
